At our Urgent Care in the Essentia Health St. Joseph's-Baxter Clinic, you don’t need an appointment. Get care for illnesses and injuries that are not life-threatening but may need X-rays and/or lab tests that require a blood draw. Care is provided by doctors, nurse practitioners, or physician assistants.

Minor Acute (Short-term) Illnesses or Pain

• Bacterial vaginitis
• Bladder infections and urinary tract infections (UTI)

• Cold, cough, or flu

• Ear complaints or infection

Minor Injuries

• Cat scratches or bites

• Musculoskeletal injuries (sprains, strains, pulled muscles, or suspected broken bones, like in the arm, leg, or hand)

Minor Tests & Procedures

• Ear wax removal
• Foreign object removal
• Incision and drainage of cysts or abscesses
• Minor tear or rugged cut in skin needing cleaning and/or stitches
