Essentia Health-Detroit Lakes Pharmacy to offer extended weekend hours

The Essentia Health-Detroit Lakes Pharmacy located at 211 Frazee St. E. is excited to begin offering extended hours to the community.

The pharmacy will now be open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, effective immediately. The pharmacy will continue to operate from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

"Whether you are a member of the community or traveling through, these extended hours of operation will provide an additional opportunity for anyone to utilize our pharmacy services," said Amy Marchus, director of pharmacy retail services at Essentia Health. "Our pharmacy teams are available to fill prescriptions, administer vaccines, assist with over-the-counter selections, facilitate medication adherence and offer consultation in times of need.

"Those receiving care from our clinic, urgent care, emergency department or hospital will also be better suited to conveniently receive their medications before they leave the facility."
