Essentia Health has been cited as a leader in technology by the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME).
Health care organizations are recognized annually for their information-technology achievements and receive certifications through the CHIME Digital Health Most Wired program. Organizations certified at level 9 or 10 (on a 1-10 scale) are considered leaders. This is the fourth year in a row Essentia has been recognized for its achievements in this field.
Essentia’s acute and ambulatory settings are certified level 9, meaning we reside in the top 1% of the nearly 48,000 organizations that were graded. Of those 48,000, only 133 organizations received a level 9 or 10 on the acute survey, and only 111 received a level 9 or 10 on the ambulatory survey. This highlights Essentia’s success in categories like analytics and data management; population health; infrastructure; and patient engagement. The surveys assess the adoption, integration and impact of technologies in health care organizations.
“This is a testament to our team's unwavering commitment to leveraging technology for the betterment of patients we are privileged to serve,” said Chuck Watson, Essentia’s chief information officer. “This directly benefits patients by showcasing our ability to implement advanced systems that enhance safety, streamline processes and improve communication across our health care system. It also validates our dedication to leveraging data analytics and cybersecurity measures to personalize care, protect patient information and ensure the highest standards of quality and privacy.”
CHIME is a professional organization that represents senior health care IT leaders and executives. It focuses on advancing the use of technology and information management in health care to improve patient care, enhance operational efficiency and drive innovation.
