Essentia Health-Mid Dakota Bismarck Gateway Clinic welcomes family medicine specialist Dr. Andrew Obritsch

Dr. Andrew Obritsch, who specializes in family medicine, is excited to join the Essentia Health-Mid Dakota Bismarck Gateway Clinic.

"I like the sense of community among staff here," explained Dr. Obritsch, a Bismarck native, of his decision to join Essentia. "Additionally, being part of a leading health system such as Essentia provides access to resources that would otherwise be unavailable."

Dr. Obritsch received his medical degree from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. He completed a residency in family medicine at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City, Iowa. He is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.

"I am drawn to family medicine because it allows me to be involved in all aspects of my patients' medical needs instead of focusing on one area of their care," said Dr. Obritsch. "I also draw on my counseling background on a daily basis to help my patients."
