Essentia in the news: Recapping media coverage from October
November 01, 2024 By: Caitlin Pallai
October was filled with impactful stories at Essentia Health. Breast cancer awareness and the importance of mammograms took center stage, with providers — and patients — sharing their expertise and experiences.
In the realm of behavioral health, we delved into important topics, including a new schizophrenia drug, election-related anxiety and spotting the signs of domestic violence.
Other highlights include the successful birth of monoamniotic twins — a very rare and high-risk pregnancy — and what to expect when preparing for childbirth at Essentia Health-St. Mary's Medical Center.
Essentia was also recognized as a top employer in Minnesota and North Dakota by Forbes, and as an outstanding disability employer by the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development.
These highlights reflect our commitment to improving lives and fostering healthier communities.
Each month, we share some of our favorite Essentia-related stories on the Newsroom. Here are a few of the highlights from October; please note that some of these stories require log-in credentials and thus may not be accessible for all.
