Rotator Cuff Repair

Reverse Total Shoulder Replacement
If you experience severe shoulder pain, a damaged rotator cuff, and/or difficulty lifting your arm, your orthopedic surgeon may recommend reverse total shoulder replacement. In this procedure, your surgeon “reverses” your shoulder’s ball-and-socket joint, fitting a new cup-like socket onto the end of your upper arm and placing the new ball on your old shoulder socket. That makes it possible for you to use different muscles to move your arm.
