Jeremiah Program Fargo-Moorhead
Essentia Health is proud to partner with JP and has supported their impactful work with a $12,000 grant in 2021 and a $12,000 grant in 2022.
JP Fargo-Moorhead served 77 families (207 moms and kids) between 2021-2022. JP moms put in more than 800 hours of future focused planning at local colleges and three moms graduated with degrees in automotive technology, nursing and criminal justice.
Jeremiah Program (JP) is a non-profit organization with a mission of disrupting the cycle of poverty for single mothers and their children, two generations at a time. JP focuses on increasing families' access to quality post-secondary and early childhood education, workforce preparedness and financial stability, building relationships and overall well-being.
Team Building & Giving Back
On November 10, twenty Essentia Health colleagues in the Coding Quality & Education Department gathered in Baxter, MN to give back to the community in a big way.
The team spent time volunteering at Common Goods Thrift Store, helping to organize for the upcoming holiday season. Proceeds from the store supports the ongoing work of Bridges of Hope, a non-profit linking families in the
Brainerd Lakes region to community resources. Bridges of Hope also partners with other local organizations to operate a warming shelter for community members in need.
Kudos to our amazing colleagues for making a healthy difference!
