Essentia Health supports Polar Cubs Childcare Center

Essentia Health is thrilled to support Polar Cubs Childcare Center, the first licensed childcare center in Floodwood (and only center within 40 miles), in providing a critical solution to the childcare crisis facing the tight-knit rural community.

With the community facing a childcare deficit of 45 slots, Floodwood residents, mother of 3 and Essentia Health RN, Dani Larva, rallied key community and regional stakeholders and worked tirelessly to turn a underutilized part of the Floodwood school into a 69 slot childcare center for children aged 6 weeks to 12 years.

Back to School Bash

Essentia Health colleagues participated in the Wahpeton Public Schools Back to School Bash, the NDSCS Block Party and the Wahpeton Huskies Tailgating for Homecoming in the Wahpeton Community welcoming students and families back to school for the 2024-2025 school year.
